Carlin + Emilio’s floral situation was one of my favorite yet. This was a truly beautiful wedding to be able to be a part of, and Hallie Kohler did an incredible job of capturing the love in her photos. After a clear morning, a freak rainstorm nearly spoiled the couple’s outdoor ceremony at Elmwood Park, but miraculously, the clouds cleared 30 minutes before the ceremony. We kept the decor simple, and let Carlin’s wild bouquet be the star of the show. Showy peach ranunculus, whimsical wax flowers and bright marigolds with plenty of ferns and eucalyptus made this bouquet a lovely addition to the brides simple yet elegant dress. Half wreaths on gold hoops decorated the aisles. The reception was at the 40th Street Theatre, and Carlin wanted the vintage vibe of the venue to be the main focus. Again, we kept decor simple with some loose green garland on each of the long tables. Ceremony wreaths were moved to the round tables in the adjoining dining area to act as centerpieces and we added some large houseplants throughout the space to create a cozy vibe with added green. These two were so great to work with, as well as their wonderful friends and family, who were all on board the day of the show to lend a hand.
